So the other night, I realized that it had been a while since I'd gotten out the ole Alien Bees flash unit and just shot for fun. Luckily, my cousins Caleb, Cory, and Cooper were hanging around so we went out into the vacant lot across the alley and shot a little bit. After working on a couple of shoots with my friend and photographic hero, Jerod Foster, I've become much more motivated to play with light and really make it work for me rather than simply being limited to only shooting durring a certain time of day or under specific lights. One of the fun things about using a strobe like this is you can pretty much black out everything beyond 3 or 4 feet from the light. a good example of this is the picture #5 below. I always enjoy going out and shooting for fun because it helps keep the creative juices flowing. Just think, this could be you in these photos.
