Bottle #1: Infinity Whiskey
I’m not sure if I’ve told you about my Infinity Bottle yet, but here’s your chance to try a taste of this fun, unique whiskey. The concept is pretty simple - every time I get a new bottle of whiskey, I add just a little bit of it to the infinity bottle and swirl it around to mix it up. And once the bottle fills up, I pour myself a glass so that there’s room for more. This particular bottle has been in the making since late 2018, and it features nearly 40 different whiskeys! The crazy thing is that the whiskey in your bottle is 100% unique and will likely never be repeated. Just a few of the Whiskeys included in this Infinity Bottle:
Henry McKenna 10Yr.
WhistlePig Straight Rye
Weller Antique 107
Eagle Rare
Chestnut Farms Bonded
291 American Whiskey
Bottle #2: Infinity Negroni
Much like the Infinity Whiskey, this is an ongoing mixture of different styles, ratios, and recipes that would all technically be considered cocktails in the style of Negroni. This bottle hasn’t been in the works quite as long as the Infinity Whiskey bottle, but it still contains a whole bunch of good stuff. Just a few highlights in this bottle:
Campari
Carpano Antica
Botinist
Suze
Eden Mill Hop Gin
Hendrick’s Lunar Gin
St. Agrestis Inferno Bitter
Plantation Stiggins Fancy Pineapple Rum
Bottle #3: Winter Syrup
This little bottle of syrup isn’t all that complicated or fancy, but the flavor is complex and honestly just a lot of fun. Rather than just mixing up a bunch of random stuff and cooking it all together, I made a dark simple syrup first with no heat, and then slowly heated it in an immersion circulator with whole cinnamon sticks and a few cloves.
The simplest way to use this syrup would be in an old fashioned, but it also brings a lot of fun flavor complexity to any cocktail that normally calls for simple syrup, it’s nice in an iced coffee, and it might even be a good idea to add some to a glass of some of that aged eggnog (if you have any left)!
